Pear (cut)

Sometimes known as a teardrop diamond, a pear shape silhouette echoes the shape of the fruit. Pear cuts were first introduced in 1458, and are not as well known as the brilliant cut, the pear cut was most famously worn by Elizabeth Taylor following her engagement to Richard Burton in 1969.
