Here at INDTL HQ there has been much chat about the bracelets for SS15. As there were too many to count on the runways, we decided to trawl through the shows, to find the trends within, the bracelet trend. Here’s what we found:
Chanel and Giambattista Valli led the pack, mixing and matching multiple bangles whilst Lanvin and Marni took a simpler approach, stacking two identical bracelets for a striking effect.
From the bicycle-like chains at Balenciaga to the string-covered links at Veronique Leroy, the chains that graced the catwalks this season all came with a playful twist.
Commonly associated with CoCo Chanel who famously wore a pair of matching Vedura cuffs, four houses demonstrated how to work this luxurious trend.
taly is world-renowned for it’s luxurious skins, so it was no surprise to see some leather-inspired cuffs from four Italian brands. Fendi plaited coloured croc skin whilst Armarni’s covered resin bracelets in snake – inspired patterns.
Bare arms call out to be adorned, although this part of the body often
overlooked. Cushnie et Ochs and Lanvin placed bracelets on the upper arm
which Nickolas K and Angelo Bratis opted for below the elbow.
All entirely unique and resembling miniature works of art, abstract creations included organic flower-like sculptures by Antonio Marras and twisted wire pieces by both Sportmax and Giambattista Valli.
Last but not least we bring you our favourite trend. From the flower bracelets at Oscar de la Renta, that perfectly matched the print of the fabrics, to the pearl beading used on both the clothes and jewellery by Lanvin, we loved that it was all in the DETAILS.
