Last night Gemfields (the world’s leading coloured gemstone producer) hosted a global launch party to celebrate their collaboration with 37 of the world’s leading jewellery designers. Hosted at Phillips Auction House, models and muses paraded the show-stopping pieces around the room which was attended by Mila Kunis who is the face of the campaign. The glitz and glamour of the evening was the perfect excuse to borrow some fabulous jewellery from Fernando Jorge who’s emerald earrings have been worn by Mila as part of the campaign. It was near to impossible to choose between the pieces that make up his stunning collection but in the end I chose these green tourmaline and diamond earrings and a jade ring to match.

The beauty and allure of these pieces speak for themselves but actually wearing these pieces for the night gave me an even greater appreciation of Fernando’s incredible attention to detail and understanding of how jewellery relates to the body. The ring was the unbelievably comfortable to wear and despite its size had an incredible unexpected lightness to it. The earrings which feature Fernando’s trade mark snake chain had the most wonderful movement and I had such fun showing other guests how they could be looped up to create a hoop and a completely new look.
