You don’t get a much better welcome back to London than an invitation to the Philip Treacy  SS13 show. Having never been to a runway show before I was obviously ecstatic but I could never have imagined quite how good it would be.

Dedicated to Michael Jackson, Alexander McQueen and Isabella Blow the show was opened by Lady Gaga who was mysteriously covered in a bright pink veil and received a huge roar from the excited audience as she announced that the models would be wearing clothes belonging to the late Michael Jackson.

As Michael Jackson’s biggest hits resonated around the hall, a cast of all black models strutted, danced and grinned their way down the catwalk in oversized fascinators, egg-shaped helmets, Mini Mouse ears, feathers, a smiley face and even a hat which contained a miniature moving fairground.

We absolutely loved the heavily embellished crystal jewellery designed in collaboration with Swarovski which consisted of complex oversized star rings and sculptural topaz cuffs. The pieces from the show are also due to be the inspiration for the Atelier Swarovski collection that Philip Tracey will work closely with Swarovski on for their AW13 launch. After such a fantastic show we can’t wait to see the results!
